Here they come from far and wide,
dressed as spooks and draculas bride,
they are going to a party, the best of the year,
but there are certain rules to which they must adhere.
Rule 1. Find your way up hill and down dale,
Follow the path, follow the trail,
the secret paths that lead the way,
make sure you arrive before end of day.
Rule 2. whilst you journey there's one thing you must find,
to make you a spook of the miniature kind,
it holds the key to joining the fun,
but you must be quick the parties begun.
Drink it down quick, it wont make you sick,
wait whilst the magic shrinks you so small,
you'll be able the enter the tiny folks ball.
from life size to tiny it happens so fast,
what a wonderful spell that potion has cast.
now that the magic has weaved its wild spell,
you can enter the forests Halloween dell.
Three witches hold court over the Halloween feast,
there will be fun and frolicks till sun rise in east.
Now for the games, the food and the treats,
lots of good food, drink and some sweets.
pumpkins and lanterns banish the gloom,
just find a safe place to park up your broom.
Mummy dogs on a platter all wrapped up in dough,
theres plenty of wine and its starting to flow,
the pumpkin comptitiion has an excellent prize,
its a shoo fly pie thats covered in flies!
The cakes are superb all covered in icing,
I hope they are generous when they are slicing.
the jelly looks great all sticky and gooey,
the eyeballs I think are going to be chewy,
theres bones and bat wings and frogs legs as well,
and skeleton gingerbread that's going to taste swell,
trifle and pizza and tapioca pud,
its got real frogspawn so that should be good.
When the party's all finished and its time to go home,
look for a little fella dressed as a gnome,
he's holding a bottle with potion inside,
once you have drunk you'll then meet your guide,
to take you back from the fae and the mini,
and leave you once more at the edge of the spinney,
Once more full size and all back to normal,
you must never tell or be labelled abnormal.
NOW GO AND VISIT THE OTHER PARTIES, IF YOU DARE......;
Oh Athena! I absolutely LOVE the landscape in which you live!!
